State Department of Education awards West
Field
West Field Earns Academic Performance Index of 1500! The Oklahoma State Department of Education annually issues an Academic Performance Index (API) to every public school. The API is a numeric score ranging from 0 to 1500. State average API is 1180. API sub-scores are used to measure Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) as defined in the No Child Left Behind regulations. Based on testing data from West Field’s very first year in existence, our API was a perfect 1500… the highest among all of Edmond’s elementary schools, one of only three schools in Oklahoma County and was named winner of the state's highest academic award-- the Academic Achievement Award! Our Spring 2007 OCCT Test
results were phenomenal!
All the hours of planning, hard work, and continual efforts
spent developing all aspects of our new school last year
have paid off-- let's celebrate!
