West Field... Where
Everyone
Succeeds
Together

Be a West
Field Watch D.O.G.!
West
Field launched an exciting new program made possible by a grant from
OAESP (Oklahoma Association of Elementary
School Principals) and the national Watch DOGs organization.
Watch D.O.G.S.
Dads
of
Great
Students
are asked to spend at least one day a year at their child’s school volunteering
by serving as an extra set of eyes and ears and being a positive male role
model. During the day, a Watch DOG dad may read and work on flash cards with
kids, play at recess, eat lunch with their child, assist in loading and
unloading cars and busses, and help with traffic control. However, at the end of
the day what is most important is that dads have done whatever it takes to
sow seeds of success in the lives of students.
This
program is for all dads, step dads, grandfathers, uncles, or other male figures
in our students’ lives. We think this will be a very beneficial program for the
students at our school. It will also add another level of security for our
school.
