This is our tenth year to do Discovery here at Central.  The program started when Frank Keating traveled to Israel and saw a similar education program there.  He came back to the U.S. and said, "We need that," and contacted several principals.  Mrs. Fair (assistant principal at the time) got the program started here.

CMS is once again seeking students to participate in a unique after school learning opportunity for highly able children.  The Excellence Through Discovery (ETD) Program will begin its tenth year.  The program is designed to expand the educational experiences of middle school students who have potential for giftedness and leadership.  It is based on the exploration of mathematical thinking, science and the arts.  The ETD Program works in conjunction with the Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics (OSSM).

Student/Parent Applications for the ETD Program are in the main office—pick one up today and turn completed applications in by September 15.                                            

            

           

Working inside has its advantages.           Oklahoma Blood Bank, where are the vampires?  I have to drink that?

 Discovery is all about investigating what you think you know about by peering at things beyond the surface.
