October 12, 13, &14th
Monday - 1st, 2nd, 3rd, & 4th hour - Edmond Police Detective Oaks taking about Internet Safety in the Media Center. 7th and 8th hour - Time to make missing assignments up during class.
Tuesday & Wednesday - Martin Luther King Jr. Portrait in Microsoft Word. (Daily Grade)

Objective - Student will be able to follow direction and change format in MS Word.

October 5th - October 9th
Monday & Tuesday - Excel - Grades (with formulas) - Print Tuesday for a daily grade
Wednesday - Thursday - Friday - Car spreadsheet - You will find three cars on the Internet - one for less than $3000, one between $3001 - &15,000 , and one over $15,001 (no limit). All cars must be street legal and safe. The first 2 cars must be within 100 miles of our school, the last one must be in the USA. You will format Excel to figure out what your car payment would be using formulas and make a chart that compares the three cars. This will be a Test/Project grade and will be due on Friday at the endo of the hour.

Assignment - You will make a Power Point about the your favorite class or activity that you are now participating in. Your Power Point will show in the cafeteria starting next Monday. Project is due Friday at the end of class. This is a project grade (60% of your grade.)
The following will be included:
- Must be positive.
- Must use Formal Language
- Must have pictures of your activity
- Must have Clip Art, Text Box, & Word Art
- Must have Timely Facts
- Must have Custom Animation
- Slides must be timed (Power Point must run by itself)
- Must be able to read from the cafeteria TV's (Contrast and Spelling)
Objective - You will be able to make a timed Power Point with pictures.

On Tuesday - Test Grade for Typing correctly. 1) Sitting up straight, 2) Hands on the home-row keys, 3) Hands & Arms not resting on the keyboard or table, and 4) Watching the screen (not hands) as you type
On Thursday during 8th hour Fund Raising material will be handed out.
Weekly Objective: You will be able to type using the touch method.
Week 1
On Tuesday (8-18-09) we will make the seating chart - I will introduce myself - you will learn class room procedures!
On Wednesday (8-19-09) you will log into the computer (and get your first 100 points) - Learn how to do your daily warm-ups. We will also log into Typing Time and start lesson one.
On Thursday (8-20-09) you will log in, type your warm-up, and continue in Typing Time. Finish Lesson 1 - start Lesson 2
On Friday (8-21-09) we will (together) make your warm-ups pretty and print them (your 2nd 100 points). Finish Lesson 2 and print your Typing Time Summary Report (100 points for lesson 1 & 100 points for lesson 2) - There will also be a fire drill during 3rd hour.
