Ms. Milford

Knowledge with character is true education.  Only with both can we affect the world in a positive way

Hello parents and students!  I have been shaping the minds of amazing Central students for five years.  I received my degree from the University of Central Oklahoma and absolutely love sharing my knowledge of the Spanish language and Latin culture.  My goal in the classroom is to teach not only the Spanish curriculum but also to support students as they discover their talents/interests and further develop their character.  As students explore the Spanish language, we will focus on four character traits:  1) Positive attitude, 2) Respect, 3) Motivation, and 4) Supportiveness/Tolerance.  I look forward to a wonderful school year!

Tips for Success
 Ask questions.
 Let me know when you need help!!!!
 Make flashcards to study.
 Get a family member or friend to help you practice.
 Study daily, NOT just the night before a test.
 Make Spanish fun! Always give your best effort and don’t worry if you mess up.
 Contribute to your own learning! Foreign languages are not learned overnight. Learning a language is a process that MUST be practiced in order to get really good at it. I suggest you practice daily with your classmates and try to listen to and read Spanish as much as possible. Some possibilities are via radio, television (Univision/Gala vision), CDs, magazines, and many more. Be creative! Please remember, your success in this class will be affected by the effort you put in!!
