CHORUS NEWS…………..

Congratulations to all the 6^th grade Chorus students on a successful performance at the District Vocal Festival October 1.  It was a fun filled day rehearsing with Rita Nichols and performing with the other middle schools and some of Edmond’s best high school singers.  Be sure to look for some pictures from the day on the CENTRAL SHOWCASE bulletin board next to the vocal room.

Our next performance will be with the 7^th & 8^th grade Chorus students the evening of December 14.  Look for more information to come home in mid November.

The following students are to be congratulated on their selection for the Central Oklahoma Choral Directors Association Honor Chorus: 7^th graders Nate Stukey, Elix Poe and Sarah McCoy and 8^th graders Breanna Bolin, Taylor Gadberry, Callie Osmus, Emma Prilaman, Kaci Kennedy and Emily Owens.  These students were chosen by audition and will rehearse on November 2 and 3.  The free public performance of the Chorus is on Saturday, November 3 at 1:30 PM at the First Baptist Church in Edmond.

7^th & 8^th grade students are also preparing for All-State Chorus Auditions on November 13 in Mustang.  We will probably need some parents to help with transportation.  Please contact me if you can help.

Chorus-Drama-Musical Productions Tower Café Fundraiser items will be here on Monday, November 19.  These are perishable products and will need to be picked up that day.  I will be available in the Chorus room from 3:00 – 7:30 PM for pick-up.

7^th & 8^th grade Chorus uniforms are ordered and will be here in December.  The boys’ shirt payment was due October 31.  They also need to have their black pants, black socks and black shoes ready to go by the concert date December 14.  Ladies payment was due on October 31; the next payment dates are November 14 and December 3.  They will need to have their black dress shoes for the concert on December 14.

6^th, 7^th and 8^th grade students will be performing in a free concert on Friday, December 14 at 7:00 PM in the Central cafeteria.
