I am so proud of my students for making all “Superiors” at District contest on February 12^th.   Seventeen of my students performed solos at District contest.  Three received an “Excellent” rating:  Alanna Lacina, Iya Prytkova, and Tracey Sparks.  Receiving a “Superior” rating were:  Amanda Liu, Andrea Hernandez, Megan Rusch, Bradley Rose, Kelly Karguth, Connor Lincoln, Cody Tucker, Emily Kennedy and Mandi Sanders in 7^th grade; and Tyler Hutchinson, Cameron Webster, Claire Roberts, Dane Mowdy and Jack Law.  I’m very proud of them.

We are now preparing for two last contests:  Edmond Chamber Festival – Sat. April 12^th.  This contest is required for all 7^th & 8^th graders because they will play their piece in a small ensemble as well as having another opportunity to solo.  The last contest is a large group contest at Tri-State in Enid on May 1^st.  We will ride a charter bus and perform during the day.  Spring concert is May 9^th, 7:30pm.

Sixth grade is moving right along with slurring and playing in different keys.  They are working on pieces for the Spring Concert on May 9^th.  You will be amazed at how much they have progressed.
