Group 7: Notable People:

The Cheyenne have many people in their history and today who are well-known among their people.  These people have distinguished themselves in different ways, some by bravely fighting for their people, others by distinguishing themselves in their chosen fields. 

TASK:  Your task is to gather information about the following notable people from the Cheyenne tribe.   You will find all of your facts using the online resource, Student Resource Center.  With these facts,  you will create a presentation with the following slides.

Gather your facts from this database.   Look up each person on your task.  Skim the short articles, decide what the most important facts are, and write them on your storyboard.  Use the Glossary to look up any unfamiliar words.  Your classroom teacher must approve your storyboard before you proceed to the next step. Once you have your  text written in your storyboard, you can find your pictures.  You may save pictures from Student Resource Gold or from below:

 

American Memory Photo Collection   Type your term in the search box (If you use Cheyenne Indians as your terms you will get lots of picture and you can scroll through.  Or you can type a specific term in (like "travois") and see what you get.  Go to Gallery View, then keep clicking on the picture until you get the largest view.  Then you can save it to your home directory.
