Its Getting Hot in Here...
 Actually Its Getting Hot Everywhere!

Students will watch the movie "The Inconvenient Truth." During the movie they will take notes of important facts and opinions that may support or refute their stand on global warming. The goal of this project is for students to think critically about how our actions impact the environment. The students will create a book in which they will write about how severe or minimal they believe the impact of global warming is on our atmosphere, hydropshere, geosphere, and biosphere. The student's opinions on global warming must be supported by evidence; however within the book students may offer suggestions on how to prevent global warming. If the student feels that global warming is minimal they must state why. Students may gather evidence from the movie, library, and the internet (only through approved websites accessed via the library website). However they must have references for their sources. The students must attach a works cited (bibliography) page to their final copy of the book.
