Human Body
Systems Project 

Objectives: 

• Students will be able to name the eleven human body systems and their functions. 

• Students will be able to identify the organs and structural parts present in each system (i.e.circulatory: heart, arteries, veins, and capillaries). 

• Students will be ableto describe the basic structure of the major organs in each system. 

•Students will enhance their research and presentation skills. 

Requirements:

•Work in groups of 3-4 to research an assigned body system, create a visual aid, activity, or experiment and present information to the class. Information presented during the presentation will be used to fill in a chart that will be used as a study guide for the test. 

• Slides for the powerpoint presentation should include answers and information for the following:

         Slide 1—Introduction Slide

         Slide 2—What does your system do?

         Slide 3—How many parts does your system have and what are they?

         Slide 4—What does each part do?

         Slide 5—Where is your system located?

         Slide 6—What new vocabulary words (and definitions) do you have that go  with your system?

         Slide 7—What happens if your system fails?  List and describe 5 diseases or    disorders that are associated with your system.

         Slide 8—What do you need to do to keep your system healthy?

         Slide 9—Interesting/fun facts about your system

•Visual Aid, Experiment or Activity to help others learn more about your system  

• Presentation:

         -Present all required information (see above).

         -Organized and easy to follow.

         -All group members participate equally in the presentation.

         -Spoken clearly and eye contact with audience.

         -Neat, easy to understand, colorful, creative
