7th Grade Units of Study

Resume' Unit -- In this unit students will learn to use a word template to create a resume'. 

Adobe Lessons -- In these lessons students will learn to manipulate still images using Adobe Photoshop Elements and edit videos using Adobe Premier.

Digital Storytelling -- This unit allows students to use the program "Photostory 3" to tell the digital story of a famous Oklahoman.  The students will select their subject and do research.  They must document their sources and select still images to share while they tell the story.

Fair Use -- This lesson focuses on the importance of adhering to copyright laws.  The students will learn how these laws apply to their multimedia projects and also to everyday life.

Decade Newsletter -- In this unit the students will work in teams to conduct indepth research on a particular decade.  They will use the program Publisher to create their newsletter.  They may choose to address fashion, politics, fads, entertainers, inventions, etc.  to share with their audience.

Advertising Campaign -- This unit allows the students to work in groups.  Each group will decide on a product and create an ad campaign to promote their product.  They must include a name, logo, slogan, jingle, billboard, magazine ad, radio ad, and TV commercial.  They will use a variety of programs to accomplish their objective.

Jeopardy -- The students will create a Jeopardy game as a format to showcase a topic of their choice.

Anti-Bullying Campaign -- This unit will allow students to create a campaign to discourage bullying and to provide resources and tools to help students deal with this issue.

Welcome to Cheyenne Video -- Students will create a video that showcases our school.  They will video the various aspects of Cheyenne and use Adobe Premier to edit their clips and create a finished product communicating with their audience all the amazing strengths of our school.
