Hello! My name is Lori Goodbary. This is my 18th year to teach Family and Consumer Sciences. I have had many great teaching experiences along the way to teaching at Cheyenne. I began teaching in a small rural school in 1991, and then moved to one of the largest district in Oklahoma before taking a program specialist position at the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education. Returned to the classroom in 2006 because that is where I am my best. I reached my goal of becoming a National Board Certified Teacher in 2004. I joined the Mustang family in 2008 and have been blessed to continue my career here. The biggest reward of teaching Family and Consumer Sciences is when my students become successful adults. It is such a personal joy when former student excels or keep in touch with me during major events in their lives like weddings, jobs, children and successes.
After moving to Edmond in 2005, I married David Goodbary. He had a beautiful daughter who is now a sophomore at Edmond North High School. Then in 2006 Luke was born and is the joy of my life.
Family is first in my life along with my faith. I enjoy leadership activities, community service, and running a small business. Along with my goal to be one of the best FACS Instructors, these activities keeping me very busy.
Thanks :)
Lori Goodbary
