Volunteers

Dear
Parents,
Library volunteers play an extremely
important role in the development of our Library Media Program. There are
many opportunities for parents to be involved with the children, both directly
and indirectly. Parents are needed to assist children in the location and
checking out of materials, utilizing technology, and completing research.
In addition, parents are needed in the general up-keep of the media center:
re-shelving materials, organizing shelves, creating displays, processing new
materials, typing, desktop publishing, and helping with many of our special
projects. These are all easy tasks, but are very time consuming. YOU
ARE NEEDED, and may donate an afternoon or morning weekly by calling
the PTA representative.
We are in the hopes that you would
be willing to donate one morning or one afternoon, either weekly or twice a
month. We understand, of course, that an occasional time will be missed
due to other commitments.
If you cannot commit yourself to
regular volunteer help, we are also in need of parents willing to help oversee
the two annual book fairs. Each book fair will run for a week, and two
volunteers are needed to work both the morning and afternoon session. The
book fairs are scheduled for fall and spring.
If you are interested in
volunteering, please fill out a form available in the library. I will call
you to set up a time for orientation. Thank you for your consideration.
