JEANNE KSIAZAK
TEACHER OF THE YEAR
2012-2013
Jeanne Ksaizak was raised in the central Illinois farming community of Stockland, Illinois. She attended Eureka Collee and graduated with a major in Elementary Education. She worked for two years as a second grade teacher in Naperville, Illinois and two years as an Early Childhood Family Education teacher in Lakeville, Minnesota before starting her family. Jeanne feels fortunate to have been able to spend many years as a stay at home mom and volunteer during their moves to California, back to Minnesota and finally to Oklahoma. Once settled in Oklahoma she enjoyed becoming a part of the Cross Timbers Community as a volunteer, teacher substitute and media assistant. She was overjoyed to begin teaching first grade at Cross Timbers in 2010. She is excited to be around such eager, imaginative young students each day. Jeanne and her husband, Mike, have been married for 18 years. They enjoy watching their sons, Austin (age 13) and Tyler (age 11) play travel hockey through OKCYHA and baseball. They love to take family trips, play games and just relax together.
