Parent-Teacher Organization

The Cross Timbers P.T.O. welcomes you to our school.  Our goal is to support the Cross Timbers students and faculty through a variety of fun and exciting projects.  If you are interested in being involved in any of these activities or working on any committee, please contact one of our officers or call the school. 

Our membership consists of the parents/guardians of children attending Cross Timbers and the Cross Timbers staff.  We meet the 3rd Thursday of each month at 9:00 a.m. in the Media Center to discuss and recommend fund raising projects, special programs, and school activities.  Meetings are open to all. 

P.T.O. sponsors many special activities including P.A.L.S., Media Pals, Newsletter, P.A.W.S., Holiday Store, music programs, Spirit Store, t-shirts and sweatshirts, field days, holiday parties, and book fairs.  This past year our fundraising efforts purchased 12 Success-Makers licenses, 6 document cameras, a second computer lab with computers, monitors and software, HP color printer w/ warranty and ink, Rumble's visit to CT for assemblies and Family Fun Night, 8 sections of portable stage, supplemented teacher supplies by $9,000, teacher's lounge update and field trips. We also provided funds for classroom materials and teacher training.

In addition, we have worked together as volunteers to provide many activities and services for patrons of Cross Timbers.  Did you realize that CT families volunteer in our school for more than 13,000 hours each year, and we have fun! A future is one of the more precious gifts we give our children.  Is there a more awesome investment of our time and resoures than in our children!  Let's work together to make this year even better!!
