The World Languages teachers at EMHS are bringing the world to Edmond - one language at a time.
Edmond Memorial offers four languages: French, German, Latin and Spanish. Three levels of French and German are offered, including an AP Language class. Latin offers four levels of classes and Spanish offers levels one through four and an AP Language class.
We have active language clubs and together we participate in many activities. These include the Welcome Picnic, Haunted House at Bricktown, MultiCultural Day, Ice Skating, Spanish dance lessons, Swine Week fund-raising activities, Royal Bavaria field trip, French dessert night, Movie Night, Latin Convention, Deutschfest at OSU, GAP, a German exchange program and trips to Spain, Germany, and France.
Upon meeting certain requirements, students in their third year of Spanish or French are eligible to apply for membership in the Spanish National Honor Society or the French National Honor Society.
