NATIONAL READY MIXED CONCRETE ASSOCIATION ESSAY CONTEST
(Students ages 16-18) - $5,000 Scholarship at National Level
The Oklahoma winner will receive a $1,000 scholarship or $500 for a non-concrete related curriculum.
Sponsored by Oklahoma Ready Mix Concrete Assoc.
¬¬¬ REQUIREMENTS:
• An entry form must be included with all essays.
• Entries must be typed, doubled space, and not to exceed 600 words.
• Essays judged on content and writing ability (grammar, style, clarity)
• Possible Themes: Concrete’s benefits to society, How concrete affects environment, Using concrete to build homes, commercial buildings, streets, and highways.
• National winner will receive $5,000 scholarship to attend a school with a concrete-related curriculum. If winner chooses not to enroll in such a school, he or she will receive a $2,000 scholarship for their freshman year at the college of their choice.

National Society Daughters of the American Revolution
(Seniors) - Essay Scholarship Contest
$250 for State Winner, $500 for Divisional Winner, $750 for National 3rd place winner, $1000 for National 2nd place winner, $3000 for National 1st place winner.
• Must be nominated by teacher to participate in this contest (see details below)
• Must have the qualities of Dependability, Service, Leadership, and Patriotism to an outstanding degree-complete a questionnaire addressing these qualities
• Only one student is chosen by a committee of teachers (based on who best fits qualities listed above) and that student writes the essay

• The Prepared Oration must be between 8 to 10 minutes in length. The subject must be on some phase of the Constitution of the U.S. which will give emphasis to the attendant duties and obligations of a citizen of our government
