Over the years, we have met many children/young adult authors who have visited our school, including: Peg Kehret, Gary Paulsen,  Dian Curtis Regan, Brian Burks, Dan Gutman, Graham Salisbury, Will Hobbs, Anna Myers, Kimberly Willis Holt, Caroline Cooney, Eric Kimmel, Wendelin Van Draanen, Brian Jacques, Ben Mikaelsen, Christopher Paolini, Linda Sue Park, Christopher Paul Curtis, Neal Shusterman, Diane Stanley, Audrey Couloumbis, Anthony Horowitz, Jeanne DuPrau, Roland Smith, and Richard Trout.

                                This year's visitors are: 

April 1st, 2010:  Author Anna Myers visits the sixth-graders!  Our favorite Oklahoma author, Anna Myers, will  share writing tips and her stories with  6th graders in reading/writing workshop classes. Her historical fiction books cover a wide range of American historical events--the American Revolution (The Keeping Room and Spy), the Great Depression (Red-Dirt Jessie, Spotting the Leopard, and Tulsa Burning), the Korean War (Rosie's Tiger), the Civil War (Assassin), the devastating Galveston hurricane of 1900 (Stolen by the Sea), etc.She also has written two humorous novels, Confessions from the Principal's Office and Wart. She is an awesome lady!
