Here are some fun facts from the  Guinness Book of World Records:

Largest library:  The Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. houses over 125 million items, including 18 million books. Established in 1800, it has 532 miles of bookshelves!

Best selling (commercial) book: The Guinness Book of World Records! They have sold 91,941,000 Guinness books from 1955-2001.

Best selling (religious) book:  The Bible, which has had over 5 billion copies printed.

Most valuable book:  1 of the 5 original copies of Shakespeare's First Folio (written in 1623) sold at auction for $6,166,000.

Most overdue library book: A book borrowed by Col. Robert Walpole in 1867 from Sidney Sussex College at Cambridge was returned 288 years later when someone found it!
