Teen Leadership

Teen Leadership is a class designed to develop personal and professional leadership skills.  Students  learn to develop a healthy self-concept through confidence building lessons and interactive activities.  The class focuses on projects, activities, and games to develop:

self-awareness

self-control

interpersonal skills

principle-based decision making

effective communication skills

responsibility

problem solving skills

Students learn how to express their thoughts and ideas in creative, positive ways, participate in group discussions, and organize community service projects.

What's Going On in Teen Leadership?

Welcome to 2nd Semester Teen Leadership!

Students in all 3 grades are working on their 2nd speech of the semester.  Each grade level has a different topic, but all are required to speak for 90 seconds and begin their speech with a great opening statement (we call it a "hook").

Coming up:

6th graders will begin studying self-concepts and confidence;

7th graders will begin self inventories to understand individual strengths and areas to improve;

8th graders will focus on leadership styles and types of power used by leaders.
