This is Mrs. Velasco's 2nd year of teaching Spanish at Sequoyah. After many years of working with a public accounting firm Mrs. Velasco went back to school and graduated in May 2012 from UCO majoring in Spanish education. Mrs. Velasco is a native speaker. She was born in Mexico, moved to the United States as a child and grew up in Los Angeles, California. She moved to Edmond, Oklahoma in 2004. Mrs. Velasco loves teaching and hopes to instill her love for the Spanish language and culture to all her students. Mrs. Velasco is married and has three daughters. Her two older daughters attend Edmond North High School and the youngest goes to Sequoyah. Mrs. Velasco enjoys spending time with her family and attending the various after school activities of her three daughters.
