Once upon a time in a state a little ways away was born a girl.  She grew up on a family corn farm in Illinois.  She spent summers outside learning to love plants and rocks.  These traits were reinforced as she detassled corn in the summers and created an award winning rock collection!!  Upon completion from high school she headed to Illinois State University for a degree in Elementary Education.  Texas was the next stop on the adventure of life where Jill began her teaching science to 6th and 7th graders.  A masters degree from North Texas State and a move to Edmond, Oklahoma completed her education and moves.  Along came two sons, one is now attending Oklahoma State University and the other is a Summit Eagle.  Jill has been at Summit Middle School since 1991 teaching 8th grade science.  The next chapter is futuristic, but looks to be exciting with a new start in technology engineering!!!

Gateway to Technology

GTT®is a program which addresses the interest and energy of middle school students, while incorporating national standards in math, science and technology. GTT® is "activity oriented" to show students how technology is used in engineering to solve everyday problems. The instructional units excite and motivate students to use their imaginations and teach them to be creative and innovative, while gaining the skills they need to develop, produce and use products and services.
