Hello!!!  My name is Marilyn Norman and this is my first year at Summit Middle School.  I am very excited to be here and I love teaching math!

 

I received a B. S. in Special Education and Elementary Education from Southwestern Oklahoma State University.  Several years later, I returned to college and received a M. Ed in Administration from the University of Oklahoma.  During my years of being an educator, I have taught: Special Education, First Grade, Second Grade, Third Grade, Sixth Grade Math, Seventh Grade Math & Science, Eighth Grade Science, Computer Science, Web Design, and Yearbook.

 

My husband, Lynn, is a Veterinarian and spent 23 years in the U. S. Army.  During this time we lived in Oklahoma, Maryland, Alabama, Texas, Hawaii, and Germany.  After he retired, we moved back home to Oklahoma to be closer to our family.

 

We have four wonderful children:  Austin (married to Desiree), Heath (marred to Carrie), Jasey (married to James), and Lindsey.  Four AMAZING grandsons:  Lee (6 years old), Jacob (5 years old), Konner (2 years old), Logan (1 year old).  One PRECIOUS granddaughter:  April (3 years old).

 

I am looking forward to getting to know all of my students and an a super year together!
