 Policies and Procedures

Checking Out Books:

Books are available for students in kindergarten through fifth grades.  Students in kindergarten through second grades may check out one book at a time, third and fourth graders may check out two books and fifth graders, three books.  Books are checked out for a two-week period with a due date stamped in the back of the books as a reminder.  Parents are invited to check out from our library, with a limit of three books for a two-week period.

Overdue Books:

Students and their parents are responsible for any books lost or damaged by the students.  Any student who has a lost or overdue book will lose the privilege of checking out additional books until the matter is cleared.

Birthday Books

You may celebrate a student’s or teacher’s birthday at Will Rogers through the Birthday Book Fund.  You may make a contribution to the fund, select a new book from our designated “birthday Books,” and a bookplate will be placed in the front of the book commemorating the birthday.  The book will also be presented to the school during Wildcat Wake-Up.

Parent Volunteers:

Our Media Center PALS are a vital part of our media center program.  The time they give to checking books in and out, re-shelving returned books, and helping with the processing of materials frees the media center specialist to spend more time with the students.  Please contact the Media Center of our school for more information.
