Welcome to Heartland Middle School! Home of the Thunderhawks! My name is Veronica Johnson and I have the extraordinary honor of leading this school.
Here at Heartland Middle School, our mission is to work in partnership with our students and families to ensure that each Thunderhawk acquires the knowledge, skills, and core values necessary to achieve personal success and enrich the world! We work every day to support the academic, social, and emotional growth of your child.
Along with supporting our students in achieving high levels of academic success, we pride ourselves in our ability to make authentic connections, build strong relationships, and instill a sense of belonging within our students and families so that all of our community members feel as if they are a part of our Thunderhawk family. Heartland offers a multitude of ways for students and families to get involved including award-winning performing and creative arts programs, stellar athletic teams, engaging extracurricular clubs/activities, a fully integrated parent organization & much more!
I believe strongly that there is power in our connection with each other and in the relationships that are formed between students, parents, and our educational staff. Together I want to continue to build a school community that cares deeply about the academic and social-emotional development of each of our students.
