Ashlynn Stewart-DeBusk, Drama Teacher at Heartland, was nominated for BELONGING. Mrs. Stewart-DeBusk loves every student that walks through the doors and does a wonderful job of making each student feel like they belong in her space. Drama class is a vulnerable class for many middle students because they have to put their awkwards selves out there... but she makes every student feel safe and seen in her class. Every morning, students flee to her for her hugs, smiles, and words of encouragement at the beginning of their day! She always shows gratitude and thankfulness to all of her colleagues and she is just a joy to interact with.

Tony Antwine, Custodian at Russell Dougherty, was nominated for INTEGRITY. Mr. Tony is a perfect example of doing the right thing even when no one is watching. He does every part of his job with integrity by seeing what is needed and taking the initiative on his own to make it happen. He recognizes the impact that relationships have, treats everyone with respect, and is a shining example of compassion for our students.
